From Alabama to Louisiana, and through Mississippi, her family's wanderings culminated in the heart of central Texas, where she spent her formative years and graduated high school. Kari's academic journey led her to the Bauer School of Business at the University of Houston, where she earned a degree in marketing with a minor in African American studies.
